Tempura battered prawns served with a sweet chilli sauce

Portabella Mushroom with Goats Cheese and Walnuts 5.80
served with dressed baby salad leaves and apple jelly.

Chicken Liver Paté   5.80
Smooth chicken liver paté served with
red onion marmalade and toasted ciabatti

Thai Style Crab Cakes    5.80
served with dressed salad leaves and a chilli jam dipping sauce

Daube of Beef   15.50
A traditional French country dish.  A thick slice of tender beef, braised with banana shallots,
smoky bacon, button mushrooms and red wine, 
Served with horseradish mash.

Medallions of Fillet Steak with Mushroomse  22.80
Medallions of prime fillet steak pan fried with mushrooms and finished with  cognac and cream.
Served with spring onion mash.

Roasted Fillet with Yorkshire Pudding   22.80
Fillet steak, roasted to your liking, served on a Yorkshire pudding, and finished with a Madeira sauce. Served with horseradish mash.

Braised Welsh Lamb Shank  16.00
Meltingly tender and served in its own sauce of mint, cranberry and red wine
with creamy mashed potatoes

Chicken with Apricots    15.50
Supreme of chicken cooked slowly in the oven with white wine, finished with cream and choppped apricots.
Served with buttered new potatoes.

Baked Spinach and Ricotta Crepes  13.50
filled with spinach and ricotta cheese, topped with a tomato and red pepper  sauce and grated cheddar cheese and baked in the oven. Served with garlic bread

"Veggie" Shepherds Pie  14.50
Carrots, celery, onions and lentils in a mild, spicy tomato sauce, topped with buttery mashed potato and finished in the oven.

Ratatouille Crumble  14.50
A casserole of lovely Mediterranean vegetables,. topped with a chive, parmesan cheese and nut crumble

Poached Salmon with Prawns and Asparagus  15.50
Poached salmon supreme with a prawn, asparagus and butter sauce.

A proper pie with pastry all the way round, filled with
